Jan Hamstra
Jan creates his illustrations using relief printmaking techniques. All the imagery he creates is hand-carved from wood or linoleum, which then forms the base of his illustrations and posters often adding to it digitally while always maintaining a traditional look. Whether he’s using a vibrant palette or the deliberate absence of colour, the signature of his work easily recognisable. Jan works on a wide range of commissions but his main focus is on concert posters and book covers.
