The fourth edition of our Knetterijs zine is also the first in a series of projects made possible by the Dutch creative industries fund. 'The Rottumereye Tragedy' is a murder mystery made up of several booklets, prints, leporello's and a poster. All clues to a horrific murder that took place on the uninhabited island of Rottumeroog in the Dutch Wadden Sea.
A birdwatcher working on the island has been found dead. It’s up to you to find out who the murderer is. Solving the case will take you on a journey through witness reports, magazines, movie posters, postcards and local maps, each designed by a different member of Knetterijs.
Knetterijs is a group of illustrators sharing a collective studio in Groningen. Each member is active as a freelance illustrator, spending most of their time working on individual commissions, but we also take on projects as a group. Knetterijs works on commissions for clients at home and abroad, for a wide variety of media.
